Scaling design system and create design principles.

Keepit reached out to get help with scaling their design system. They needed help to improve work processes around their design system, the handover process, and defining design principles.

I helped Keepit create an online survey targeting marketing, designers, quality assurance employees, developers, and managers.
The survey helped them get an understanding of how the design system could be used if it was widely adopted, what value it created, and asked for input on improvements.

We held 2 full-day workshops. The purpose of the first workshop was to define and draft design principles. We looked into their philosophy, their approach, and the rules that guide them to create a distinct, differentiated, effective experience for all Keepit users.
The second workshop was focused on consolidating the group work and cutting down to the most essential principles. From here we started identifying how to concretize the description of the principles by defining what the users should feel, think and see.
